Apple and salted butter caramel muffins

A sweet symphony begins with a soft base, enriched with salted butter caramel, tender apples and melting sweet treats.

  • 200g flour
  • 1 Greek yogurt
  • 60g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 70g sugar
  • 1/2 sachet of yeast
  • 1mm baking soda – or can we use ¼ teaspoon?
  • Baking soda
  • 1 apple
  • Salted caramel

Recipe

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C

Step 2

Melt the butter

Step 3

Mix the sugar, melted butter, yogurt and egg in a bowl.

Step 4

Add the sifted flour with the baking powder and bicarbonate. Mix well to form a dough.

Step 5

Put a tablespoon of dough in a muffin tin, add a teaspoon of salted caramel, a few pieces of diced apple and cover with a tablespoon of dough. Do not overfill the tins.

Step 6

Add the diced apples on top of the muffins.

Step 7

Bake for 20 minutes. Wait until the muffins are lukewarm before removing them from the tins.
