Delicious, crispy baklava filled with walnuts, almonds and pistachios, bathed in a syrup scented with orange blossom and lemon. Indulge yourself!

  • 125g walnuts
  • 125g almonds
  • 125g unsalted pistachios
  • 100g sugar
  • 2tsp orange blossom
  • 28sheets filo pastry
  • 125g butter
  • 3 glasses of water
  • 2 glasses of sugar
  • 1tablespoon of honey
  • A little lemon

Recipe

Step 1

Crush the dried fruits, be careful not to crush them too much so that they do not form a paste. Add 100g of sugar, 2 teaspoons of orange blossom. Mix and set aside.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 180°c

Step 3

In a frying pan, melt the butter. Remove the cream that appears (clarify)

Step 4

Cut the filo pastry to obtain 28 sheets the size of the mold. Keep the sheets under a damp cloth.

Step 5

Place 2 sheets of filo pastry, with a brush, put the clarified butter. Add 2 sheets and proceed in the same way.

Step 6

When you have put the 14 sheets, add the stuffing. Then start again until you have used up the sheets.

Step 7

Cut the dough into a diamond or square shape.

Step 8

Brush with butter.

Step 9

Bake for 30 minutes

Step 10

Make the syrup, pour 3 cups of water into a saucepan, add 2 cups of sugar, tablespoon of honey and a slice of lemon. Bring to a boil then lower the heat and leave to simmer for about 20 minutes. Add a few drops of lemon.

Step 11

When they come out of the oven, drizzle the baklavas with syrup. Let the baklavas soak up the syrup for at least 24 hours.
