Chocolate sponge cake

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 50g flour
  • 4 gelatin sheets
  • 120ml liquid cream
  • 100g unsweetened cocoa
  • 150ml water
  • 100g sugar

Recipe

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°c

Step 2

In a saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter.

Step 3

In a salad bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar then the flour

Step 4

Mix the chocolate/butter with this mixture.

Step 5

Bake for 20 min.

Step 6

Make the icing, soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water for 10 min.

Step 7

Heat the liquid cream, water, sugar and cocoa. Mix well, bring to the boil. Add the drained gelatin sheets. Stir. Blend in a blender. Cover with cling film and refrigerate overnight. The next day, stir the mixture well, blend in a blender if necessary.

Step 8

Pour over the chocolate cake.

Step 9

Add the glitter.
